Biography
I’m a graduate student at the University of Illinois and my research focuses on physics education. While working as a TA, I developed a passion for teaching, discovering how students learn, and improving the way physics is taught at the college level. I worked with Professor Tim Stelzer on implementing online learning tools, such as the Mastery Homework, to better support problem-solving in large-scale introductory courses. My current thesis project explores how students work in small groups to discuss physics problems by attending to the conceptual, epistemological, interpersonal, and emotional aspects of their collaboration.
